……….Advises Against Protest And Sabotaged

Niger Delta Nonviolence Agitators Forum (NDNAF) which is an embodiment of millions of focused, visionary, innovative, creative, productive, highly resourceful and non-violent Niger Deltans from all the Niger Delta states under the leadership of Most Senior Comrade Wisdom Oniekpar Ikuli humbly and passionately appeal to Niger Deltans to continue to have great confidence in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the midst of the prevalent economic realities which is not peculiar to Nigeria and Nigerians and it is temporary.

There is need for the people of the South to be wise so that they will not be used as willing tools to destabilize the Tinubu administration.

The President inherited a dead economy resulting from retrogressive economic policies of the immediate past administration under President Muhammadu Buhari. Sabotages in the petroleum industry, printing of the new Naira notes and other ill-advised policies of the previous administration, laid the foundation for the economic woes that Nigerians are experiencing today.

The open romance and fraternization between renowned bandits and senior government officials in the last administration which gave so much impetus to the bandits to cause unimaginable carnages mostly in the North East, North West, North Central and other parts of the country and the mindless looting of public treasury all contributed to the pains Nigerians are going.

Surprisingly, all the vocals voices from the North that are now talking about prevalent hunger and even suggesting about imminent military coup were all silent. They all witnessed the financial recklessness of the Buhari administration that broke record as the most corrupt administration in the history of Nigeria, yet they never deemed it necessary to speak against the atrocities of that government simply because most of the perpetrators of those financial crimes are from a particular section of the country.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is working round the clock to revive the economy, overhaul the governance system and also embark on strategic phased Restructuring of the country.

Whereas those who are parading their consciences today as advocates and social crusaders did not see anything wrong in the immediate past administration that caused most of the challenges Nigerians are going, today they have suddenly become spokespersons of the masses against an administration that has stayed less than ten months in office.

It is an undisputable fact that Crude Oil and Gas from the Niger Delta is used to run the Nigerian State since 1956 when crude oil and gas were first discovered at Oloibiri-Otabagi in present day Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, yet the people of the region and other Southerners are not promoting so much insecurity, even as gold, lithium and other natural resources are mined daily in the North by individuals with the full knowledge of the government that is not doing anything to stop the illegal mining of those resources.

Southerners need to be very wise. They do not need to join protest that are meant to antagonize the government that is doing so much to mitigate and ameliorate the plights and sufferings of Nigerians. What is happening presently is a clear case of sabotage by some privileged persons from a particular section of the country to frustrate efforts of the government. Their plans is to crumble the economy and also call for anarchy.

If those retrogressive elements now masquerading under the guise of tribal and religious advocates could endure the excesses of the immediate past administration. If they could remain silent throughout the eight years of Buhari misrule in the midst of then heightened insecurity that witnessed the killings of thousands of innocent and armless Nigerians, mostly women and children, they should endure and also support the ongoing efforts of the government towards the repositioning of the Nigerian economy.

Nigerians will agree that the security situation has improved drastically under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu compared to the hell Nigerians experienced under the immediate past administration.

I urge Niger Deltans to support the Southern Presidency and also use the opportunity to prevail on the federal government to decongest Lagos ports and on the other hand ensure that other Southern ports like Calabar Port, Onne Port, Port Harcourt Port, Warri Port, Koko Port and even new ones like the Agge Seaport and even Brass Seaport are built.

Niger Deltans should also prevail on the federal government to award sections of the Lagos-Port Harcourt-Calabar Coastal Road to different companies so that the construction work can start same time as against the present arrangement where the federal government announced that the project will start from the Lagos section.

Niger Deltans should also impress on the federal government to order the immediate relocation of the headquarters of the international oil companies (IOCs) to their areas of operation so that the host communities can feel the positive impacts of their God-given resources as against the present situation where their headquarters are domiciled in Lagos State where they pay all taxes to the Lagos State Government leaving the people of the host communities and owners of crude oil and gas to continually suffer pollution, devastation and degradation of their environments without commensurate rewards.

Be rest assured that President Tinubu will not disappoint Nigerians. All he needs is our collective support.
