Sanwo-Olu appoints LASUSTECH’s pioneer VC

Prof. Olumuyiwa Odusanya has been appointed as the substantive and pioneer Vice Chancellor of the Lagos State University of Science and Technology, Ikorodu, by Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu (LASUSTECH).
Mr. Tokunbo Wahab, the Governor’s Special Adviser on Education, made the announcement yesterday in Lagos. He stated that the appointment began on September 29.
He stated that it had become critical to appoint a substantive vice chancellor for LASUSTECH in order to ensure that there was no void in the university’s leadership and to maintain the institution’s stability.
On February 8, 1965, Odusanya was born. He is a Public and Community Health Professor as well as a Fellow of the Medical College in Public Health and Community Medicine.
He is a Master of Public Health graduate of the University of Lagos. He is a Professor of Community and Primary Health at Lagos State University’s Department of Community and Primary Health Care, Faculty of Clinical Sciences, College of Medicine.
