Ibekimi Oriamaja Reports.

The rumor that Ghana’s president, Nana Akufo-Addo, had urged the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, to resign in favor of the Labour Party (LP) candidate, Peter Obi, has been debunked.
In a statement on Tuesday, Akufo-Addo called the accusations completely incorrect, claiming he never instructed Tinubu to withdraw from the run for Nigerian president in 2023.

According to Track News, the Ghanaian President recommended that Tinubu get out of the race and back Peter Obi due to health considerations.

He has now denied the report, calling it a complete hoax and malicious, and asserting that it is not his business to meddle in Nigeria’s politics or domestic affairs.

The following is the statement he posted about the development on his Twitter page: “My attention has been drawn to a disturbing social media post where it is claimed that I wrote to Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the APC’s 2023 presidential candidate, advising him to “give Peter Obi a chance and seek treatment for his health.”

“This is entirely untrue, malicious, and devoid of any truth at all.

“Such a letter to the APC leader has not been prepared by me, and I have no plans to do so. Ghana and Nigeria have had amiable, solid, and fraternal relations for many years, and I won’t be the one to meddle in Nigeria’s politics or internal issues.”

Nigerians Being Warned Against Making Fun of Tinubu’s Health
Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has criticized Nigerians for making fun of Bola Tinubu, the APC’s presidential candidate, for his purported illness.

According to Track News, many young people have continued to point to the former governor of Lagos’ age and health as obstacles since he announced his decision to run for president.

However, Edochie recently stated in a tweet on the microblogging platform that sickness can strike anyone and that old age is a blessing.

Even if someone is against Tinubu’s bid for the presidency, it is unethical, in Yul’s opinion, to disparage his health or age.

The actor went on to say that some of the people making fun of the APC presidential contender might not live to be very old.
