Ugwuanyi wishes Muslims a pleasant Eid el-Maulud.
Ibekimi Oriamaja Reports
As Muslims celebrate Eid el-Maulud, which commemorates the birth of Prophet Muhammad, Enugu State Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi has urged Nigerians to imbibe the spirit of peace, love, unity, patience, tolerance, and perseverance, which the Prophet exemplified.
In his message of goodwill, Ugwuanyi expressed the government’s and the good people of Enugu’s congratulations to the Muslim faithful.
The governor, who prayed for God’s unending blessings on Muslims and all Nigerians, emphasized that the significance of the occasion is compelling and relevant to the promotion and sustainability of the nation’s founding fathers’ values of progress, unity, and peaceful coexistence of Nigerians.
Ugwuanyi urged the Muslim faithful to use the occasion to pray for the peaceful and successful conduct of the country’s general elections in 2023.
“May this landmark celebration bring us the peace, hope, and fulfillment our country requires to move forward,” the governor said, wishing Muslims a joyous holiday and Nigerians a happy holiday.
