2023: Desist from destructive activities that can affect PDP chances – Oyelese tells Makinde’s aides
By Adeleye Kunle
A former Minister of Mines and Steel Development, Elder Wole Oyelese, has cautioned people who are close to Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State against making unnecessary comments that can affect the chances of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2023.
Oyelese made this disclosure on Monday in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
It was gathered that Makinde and some PDP governors have vowed not to support the presidential candidate of PDP, Alhaji Abubakar Atiku.
It was gathered that some aides of the governor have been taking advantage of the situation to gain cheap popularity.
One of the chieftains of the party, Elder Wole Oyelese has then cautioned aides of the governor against making further statements on the matter.
Oyelese in a statement made available to Track News insisted that such comments may affect the chances of the party in 2023.
He added that those who are close to the governor, especially his aides should not take advantage of the current happenings in the party to cause more division among the party members and leaders.
He said that leaders of the party will not allow those whom he called detractors to destroy the party.
He added that destructive activities will not be in the interest of either the governor, the party or the candidates of the party
