Festus Keyamo (SAN), Minister of State for Labour and Employment, has come under fire online for proudly promoting a video of Tony Kabaka. Tony Kabaka is a well-known political enforcer in Edo State, TrackNews reports

Keyamo, who also serves as the spokesman for the All Progressives Congress (APC) 2023 Presidential Campaign Council, took to Twitter to share a video of Kabaka campaigning for the party’s presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, alongside the female ‘bishop’ who was present at Shettima’s unveiling.

When the jungle matures, we will turn their mockery into songs of victory!!! said Keyamo. We are preparing!! Edo on behalf of @officialABAT

Many Nigerians, however, stormed his page, criticizing him for promoting the controversial figure online, while others claimed that using Kabaka for frontline campaigning in Edo State may be a mistake for the APC because he cannot speak on behalf of the people.

“Is how APC is working with Notorious criminals and ex-convicts for him,” @DrTheodo wrote. If Tinubu becomes President (God forbid), Nigs will bear the brunt of the blame. The same woman we sold as a Bishop is now chanting Emi Lokan with a known criminal in Edo State.”

“Tinubu hiring Notorious Cutist like Tony Kababar for campaign tells you everything you need to know about his presidency,” @Chude__ wrote, “and his spokesman proudly posting this says it all.”

“Lolz. rely on kabaka for Edo State at your own risk,” @MAYOROSHIO wrote. Edo State is very obedient.”

“A senior advocate posting a well-known cultist,” @SavvyRinu wrote. “How much lower can you go?”

“Na who no dey Benin dem dey deceive,” wrote @Labourparty PE. They believe Kabaka will gain level. We’re all cultists for Benin, so don’t worry about yourself. Epa simply wants to chop and remain relevant. Make una ask Watin Obaseki to use his eyesight. Is this the same Obote?

“Kabaka a failed thug and the fake female Bishop?” wrote @Isidore0001. In Benin, are you the face of the Emi Lokan campaign?”

“Festus Keyamo is posting a self-avowed cultist as part of the endorsed support group for BAT, reinforcing the notion that a BAT win will signal the empowerment of agberos at a national level, as has already been done in Lagos,” wrote @chukzeegeorge.
