2023: PDP’s Atiku takes campaign to Abeokuta
The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar, will be in Abeokuta on Wednesday in continuation of his 2023 presidential campaign.
Our correspondent reports that hordes of PDP supporters are thronging the Ogun capital to receive Atiku.
The former Vice President is expected to meet with various stakeholders at Park Inn, Kuto, Abeokuta.
After this, Atiku, his running mate, Ifeanyi Okowa and other PDP Presidential Campaign Council officials would be led by the party’s governorship candidate in Ogun, Ladi Adebutu, to the Ake Palace Arcade, venue of the campaign proper.
Track News reports that Ake Palace Arcade became the next venue for Atiku’s campaign following the Ogun State Ministry of Sports and Youths Development’s statement that the MKO Abiola Stadium is under renovation and will not be available for the campaign.
The PDP in Ogun State had earlier written the Ministry, requesting that it be granted access to the stadium to host Atiku campaign in Ogun
