Mohammed Oluwatimileyin Taoheed reports,

Mr. Deji Adeyanju, a vibrant Nigerian rights-activist, has said that the failed alliance between Peter Obi of the Labour Party, LP, and Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) has been irritating to him.

As seen in a Facebook post published on his verified account, Adeyanju asserted that he could not fathom the reason both presidential flag-bearer could not put aside their differences and merge their parties.

He claimed that it was a very egocentric and it was beyond him to understand the reason for running two different campaigns.

He expressed: I’m just sincerely angry with Nigerian politicians. Very selfish people. I can’t understand why Obi & Kwankwaso can’t agree to work together. If they can’t beg Atiku to work with them, will understand but these 2 running futile individual campaigns is something I can’t ever understand. Completely irritated!

Recall that Doyin Okupe, who heads the Peter Obi Campaign Organisation, some days back divulged that the alliance between both parties had already been dead for long.

He insisted that what caused it all was who would become the presidential candidate after the merger between both parties.

Okupe added that they could not find a similar ground, thus the need to put a stop to the alliance talks.
