AGAIN: Suspended Minister Edu storms State House, security access tag withdrawn, blocked from seeing Pres. Tinubu
Following her suspension over the alleged diversion of N585 million, Dr. Betta Edu, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, was on Monday prevented from having an audience with President Bola Tinubu at the State House, Abuja.
Edu had arrived at the Presidential Villa after the announcement of her suspension, to meet with President Tinubu.
Although the suspended minister managed to clear all security checks and reach the president’s office, her access to that area was restricted.
Consequently, she was unable to see him.
In addition to being denied an audience with Tinubu, her access badge to the Villa was promptly revoked by the president’s security, TrackNews gathered.
Edu, who appeared cheerless, was accompanied by security personnel, protocol officials, and other aides of the president while exiting the seat of power.
Edu, who was driven to the seat of power in an official vehicle, was, however, transported out in a State House Toyota Hilux pickup.
