APC: You Can’t Expect Bola Tinubu To Attend Every Event
Ibekimi Oriamaja Reports
Tijani Tumsah, the Coordinator of the Tinubu/Shettima Support Group for the North-East, has stated that Nigerians cannot expect the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, to attend all events.
Tumsah responded to criticism from some Nigerians over Tinubu’s absence at the signing of the 2023 election peace pact, where he was represented by his running mate, Kashim Shettima, by saying that only the former Lagos State governor has the authority to decide which events he will attend.
On Sunday Politics on Channels Television, the APC support group leader stated that Tinubu cannot attend all events at the same time, but that he will attend those he can, and those he cannot, he will be adequately represented.
“The presidential candidate will decide which events he will attend, and those he will be ably represented at,” he said. By the way, in addition to the rally in Lagos, a composite rally was held somewhere. As a result, the presidential candidate is not required to be in both places at the same time. Now that there are so many events going on, you can’t expect the presidential candidate to be at all of them at the same time.”
Tumsah confirmed that Tinubu will tour all 36 states of the federation during the party’s electoral campaign, just as he did during the primary election.
“Yes, he would. He campaigned in every state of the union during the primary elections, and he will campaign in every state during the general elections.”
