Some governors in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar’s camp are reportedly frustrated with the slow pace of reconciliation talks with Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike and his supporters.
However, Track News has learned that the reconciliation teams for Atiku and Wike are considering rescheduling their meeting for Friday.

Remember that a meeting between the two groups was scheduled for Monday in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, but was canceled due to the Atiku group’s commitments in Adamawa State.

Some Governors in Atiku’s camp are concerned about the apparent deadlock in the talks, according to a party source who requested anonymity because he was not authorized to speak to the public about the matter.

“This could explain why Atiku was not accompanied by the governors to Yola on Monday for a reception in his honor.”

“Aside from the host governor, Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Fintiri, only Atiku’s running mate, Delta State Governor Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, attended the event.”

“Other PDP governors in his camp who should have been there stayed away,” The Nation’s source said.

Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Fintiri, Alhaji Sule Lamido, Senator Ben Obi, Mr. Eyitayo Jegede (SAN), and Senator Liyel Imoke are among Atiku’s reconciliation team members.

Former Ondo Governor Olusegun Mimiko leads Wike’s team, which also includes Chief David Mark, ex-Governor Ibrahim Dankwambo, ex-Governor Donald Duke, and Mohammed Adoke (SAN) Soji Adeniji.
