Atiku, Ayu, Others To Attend Osun PDP Mega Rally

Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, is expected to meet with other party stakeholders in Osun State today ahead of the state’s governorship election on Saturday.
PDP national chairman, Dr Iyorchia Ayu, and governors elected on the party’s platform are also expected to arrive in the state for the party’s mega rally today, according to Naija News.
Meanwhile, Governors Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State, Godwin Obaseki of Edo State, Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State, and Duoye Diri of Bayelsa State were said to have arrived in the state earlier for the rally, which will be held at the Osogbo Township Stadium.
According to Track News, the PDP mega rally is set to begin at 11:00 a.m. today, barring any last-minute changes.
As of the time of filing this report, it was unclear whether the party had been granted permission to use the proposed venue.
According to reports, the commissioner of information and strategy, Mrs Funke Egbemode, previously stated that the venue had been allocated before the PDP leadership approached the government about using it.
Governor Gboyega Oyetola of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ademola Adeleke of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Akin Ogunbiyi of the Accord Party, Yusuf Lasun of the Labour Party, and Oyegoke Omigbodun of the Social Democratic Party are all running for governor of Osun State (SDP).
According to Track News , the governorship candidates all participated in a governorship debate last Sunday, where they laid out their plans for the electorate if elected.
Please be reminded that the Osun governorship election is scheduled for July 16.
