Bafarawa claims that PDP Power Rotation Too Late Now, South-East Should Wait
By Adeleye Kunle
Former Sokoto State Governor and Peoples Democratic Party chieftain, Alhaji Attahiru Bafarawa, has stated that the Peoples Democratic Party’s call for power rotation is already too late.
He stated this during a Tuesday interview with Track News
When asked about the South-grievance East’s with the PDP since the party held its primaries due to its failure to ensure power rotation, he made the remark.
The PDP chieftain urged the people of the South-East to move on and wait for another chance.
“The party formed a committee to determine where the party’s presidential candidate would come from,” he explained. I was a member of that committee, which agreed that something was wrong (in terms of power rotation), but it was too late to fix it; that the party should stick to power rotation in the future because it is written in its constitution.”
