Bayelsa State Student Summit: Gov. Diri Harps On Entrepreneurship

His Excellency, Senator Douye Diri, Governor of Bayelsa State today attended the maiden edition of the State’s Students Summit to interact with them at the DSP Alamieyeseigha Banquet Hall, Onopa, Yenagoa.
The Summit tagged “TRANSCENDING: Upscaling Bayelsa State Students On Entrepreneurship and Self Development also had the Deputy Governor, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, in attendance.
Governor Diri who urged the management of all tertiary institutions in the state to create opportunities for students to acquire skills, said the government would consider floating a fund to encourage young graduates venture into businesses.
“The topic is apt, of course, you are part of our Government so you understand that, that is where our Government is going. Our Government is going towards Entrepreneurship, our Government is going towards skill acquisition. We have to move towards a productive Bayelsa Student community, a productive Bayelsa youth that will stand tall amidst other youths.
Therefore, I make the following pronouncement. That mobility, a Siena vehicle be given to the following Students Union: National Union of Bayelsa State Students (NUBSS) worldwide, National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) zone B, National Association of Nigerian Students Joint Campus Council (NANS) Bayelsa State axis, National Union of Izonebe Students Worldwide and the Student’s Union Government of NDU.
I will continue to appreciate you for your peaceful conduct and support for this Government and you have exhibited that more today by endorsing this Government for a second term,” Governor Diri stated.
