Ademola Adeleke, the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) governorship candidate in Osun State, has won the first polling unit in the state’s ongoing governorship election.
On Saturday, officials from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) announced the results of the polling unit in Osun State.

Senator Adeleke of the PDP received 47 votes at Polling Unit 05, Ward 07 in Ilesa West Local Government Area, while state Governor and APC candidate Gboyega Oyetola received 17 votes.

There were 120 registered voters in the polling unit, with 71 accredited for the ongoing governorship election.

The total number of valid votes was 67, with four votes being thrown out.

This comes after Davido claimed on Saturday that news from across Osun State in the ongoing governorship election favors the PDP.

The singer urged voters in the state to be cautious, claiming that the 2018 governorship election was rigged around this time.

Davido urged voters who had not yet voted to do so for the PDP’s governorship candidate, Ademola Adeleke, who happens to be his uncle.

The singer went on to say that more votes are needed because the voting period is coming to an end.
