Celebrations as Adamu Garba’s father abandons the PDP for the APC

A ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain has taken to social media to express his joy after his biological father defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to join the nation’s ruling party.
Garba stated on his Facebook page on Saturday (today) that his father followed him to APC to support Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s presidential ambition.

The APC chieftain’s father, a PDP member since 1999, has decided to leave the opposition party ahead of the 2023 general elections.

According to Track News, Garba’s father, who shares the same name as his son, was welcomed into the ruling camp on Saturday by APC executives from Adamawa State’s Yola-North Local Government.

Garba junior named among those who received his father the Adamawa state ALGON chairman, candidate for the Adamawa state house of assembly for the APC, Alh. Sulaiman Alkali, and Abubakar Jada.

He stated that his father’s membership in the APC will help the party’s chances in the state, as his Jambutu ward produces the most votes in the local government area.

The APC chieftain emphasized that his father was drawn to the ruling party by Tinubu and Aisha Binani, the party’s governorship candidate in Adamawa.

“Today, I am the happiest son on the planet,” Garba writes on his Facebook page. My father, an Imam, Qur’anic schoolar, and conservative, Alhaji Garba Adamu, who has been a PDP supporter since 1999, decided to join me in APC after 23 years. Remember, Adamawa is a PDP state, but to my father, his son comes first, Asiwaju comes first, Shettima comes first, Binani comes first, and Nigeria comes first and foremost.
