Why Buhari tells APC leaders to unite to avoid defeat during elections
President Muhammadu Buhari has urged All Progressives Congress (APC) leaders to unite in order to avoid defeat in 2023.
Buhari stated that APC leaders must work together to ensure victory in 2023.
He delivered the charge in his hometown of Daura, Katsina State, according to a statement released yesterday by his spokesman, Garba Shehu.
Dikko Radda, the APC governorship candidate in Katsina State, and his running mate, Faruk Jobe, were received at the president’s residence.
In a statement titled “To succeed in elections, President Buhari asks APC to unify its ranks,” Buhari said party leaders must “sit together to avoid divisions and ensure unity in order to avoid defeat at the polls.”
In 2023, the president promised free and fair elections in Nigeria.
He emphasized that the elections in Anambra, Ekiti, and Osun were proof of his determination to ensure free and fair elections.
Buhari expressed his gratitude for the visit and wished the party success in the elections.
