Ekiti Election Tribunal: Cyril Fasuyi hails judgement, congratulates Oyebanji
The candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC for the seat of Ekiti North Senatorial District, Cyril Fasuyi has hailed the judgement of the Election Petitions Tribunal which upheld the victory of Biodun Oyebanji as Governor.
The Tribunal sitting in Ado Ekiti had on Thursday dismissed the case instituted by SDP and its candidate, Segun Oni, against the victory of Biodun Oyebanji as the Governor of the State on the account that it lacked merit.
In a statement in Ado Ekiti, through the Director of Media and Publicity, Cyril Fasuyi Campaign Organization, Chief Niyi Ojo, Fasuyi noted that the judgement met the expectations of good people of Ekiti State who defied all odds to vote for Oyebanji during the election.
He urged the SDP Candidate, Segun Oni to embrace the spirit of sportsmanship and support Oyebanji to move the state forward rather than chasing shadows.
Fasuyi who was the Director General of Biodun Oyebanji Campaign Organization during the election noted that the verdict was well deserved.
He congratulated Governor Oyebanji for the victory and urged him to continue with his good works and never give room for any distraction.
Fasuyi also rejoiced with APC leaders, members and concerned stakeholders for the victory, urging them to continue to pray and support Oyebanji
