Published

on

The Ministry of Special duties and inter-governmental affairs is one important Ministry that since its creation have been very important in the implementation of the government special projects and making sure that the relationship of the three tiers of the governments is harmonious for the overall development of the country as the name implies ‘Special Duties’, it therefore needed a special person as its Minister to implement those special projects that is in tamdem with the mantra of any administration.

So it is not longer news that after weeks of frenetic hysteria by Nigerian who are anxiously awaiting to know who among the individual that successful pass it screening of the senate to be named the special Minister to head the Ministry of special duties and inter-governmentalf affairs, the President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinibu an acclaimed recruiter of leader appointed Hon. Zaphaniah Jisalo as his Minister of special duties and inter-governmental affairs and this has been justifiably applauded by Nigerians irrespective of political affiliation.

His subsequent announcement on assumption of duties has brought a sigh of relief to the staff and citizen of the country who now expect to see absolute tranquility and a new magic wand implementations of the needed reforms in the Ministry and the special projects expected to be equitably distributed all over the country by the new special implementation recruited by the President.

The expectations on the shoulder of the President is very huge especially now that the citizens are tired of many promises that we left unfulfilled by previous administrations, so it is expected that the new Minister who have a track record of successful delivery of many project when he served as the chairman of the Abuja Municipal Area Council (A.M.A.C) will use the same raw energy, doggedness, uncommon intellect and his clarity of thoughts and purpose to bear on this important Ministry assign to him by the President just like Mallam Wada Nas who served as the pioneer Minister of special duties in changing the narratives of special projects implementation in the country as never seen since he left for the common good of all Nigerians.

The Minister is expected not to fail the President, Bola Ahmed Tinibu who thoroughly head hunted him for the job because of his track record to bring development in all its physicality to the nook and crannies of the country. Trust Nigeria with the appointment of the “implementation” Hon Zephaniah Jisalo as the Minister of special duties and inter-governmental affairs and with his right foot approach to this assignment, pessimism is giving way to optimism.

It is true that the former reformist President of Russia, Mikhail Gorbachev, once said in the heat of his implementations of his glasnost and perreistroka policy that ‘A pessimist is a well informed optimist’ even though many are optimist that Hon. Zaphaniah Jisalo is well equipped for the job, the Minister is expected not to rest on his oars but start from day one in giving the country quality services that will lay the foundation for the infrastructural growth of the country. It is expected that his coming to sanitize the system because truth be told the Ministry needs a sanitizer because it is already been seen by most Nigeria as previously an axis of corruption, ineptitude and project racketeering.

The Minister is also expected going forward to specially head hunt just like the President head hunted him, people of impeccable character and with the good intention to serve the country to assist him to re-work the Ministry and restore its pride as Mallam Wada Nas era, as the saddle of the nation special and speedy implementation of government special projects for the good of the people and bring about a special relationship between the three tiers of the government in the country and you can take it to the bank that he sure will.

Since assumption of duties as the Minister of special duties and inter-governmental affairs, his pronouncement and directive is already incontestably been perceived as the best measure that are needed to mitigate the decays witnessed by the bureaucracy of the Ministry that have served as the hindrance in giving the country the much needed development projects it deserved.

It is expected that his partnership with the President will serve as the much needed fillip that will restored the confidence that he needed to confront menace of corruption, impunity, and recklessness that he met entrenched in the Ministry with his no- nonsense approach.

Hon. Zaphariah Jisalo who is known as an apostle of quality project delivery. Due process and uncommon developments which sit well with the President and the people of the country is today serving as the needed catalyst to change the narrative of the Ministry and make it a bureaucracy for perfect implementation of its assignments. The citizen therefore are very excited even though the expectations are huge on his shoulders he will surely deliver by the grace of God.
