I am well aware of the nefarious plans to impeach me as a result of my recent defection to the Social Democratic Party, or SDP.
While I am not afraid of impeachment, I must warn those who have been directed to carry out their nefarious plan that I will not tolerate any security threat in Brass Local Government Area as long as I am the Chief Security Officer of the Council.
I understand that my defection is not going down well with the top echelons of my former party, particularly those in Creek Haven, hence the desperate attempt to unseat me before my tenure expires.
Bayelsans and the general public will recall that the governor’s defection spree began in his own local government, specifically in his own constituency, when his former close aide, Hon. Suoyo Appah, joined another party. That was a clear indication that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) had flaws that needed to be addressed.
I feel sorry for my former party because its current leadership is incapable of resolving lingering issues, uniting the entire membership, and providing them with a sense of belonging.
Barr. Tesufa Alex Dumbo’s defection today marks the start of a mass exodus from the Bayelsa PDP. Many more will still leave their party in order to continue the segregation and bullying.
We left the party because they did not appreciate our efforts. So no one should hold it against me if I leave the PDP. I couldn’t stay in a party that separates those who have dedicated their lives to it.
