Keyamo Speaks On Move To Stop Tinubu’s Inauguration On May 29
Festus Keyamo, the spokesperson for the defunct Tinubu-Shettima Presidential Campaign Council, talked on Tuesday about the proposal to stop President-elect Bola Tinubu’s inauguration on May 29th.
Only God, according to Keyamo, can prevent Tinubu’s inauguration as President Muhammadu Buhari’s successor. In a statement issued on Tuesday, Keyamo stated that the All Progressives Congress (APC) is not concerned about Tinubu’s inauguration.
Any opposition member who believes Tinubu will not be sworn in as President on May 29 for legal grounds is living in a fool’s paradise, according to him. Keyamo further recommended the opposition to concentrate on their court petitions or begin planning for the 2027 general elections.
“Why should we be afraid?” he asked. Any opposition member alive today who believes that Asiwaju will not be inaugurated for legal reasons is living in a fool’s paradise. “Except for an act of God the Almighty, nothing will stop Asiwaju’s inauguration.” The opposition could either focus on their Petitions in court or begin planning for 2027.”
This comes after a constitutional lawyer, Chief Ambrose Albert Owuru, and his political party, the Hope Democratic Party (HDP), requested that Tinubu’s inauguration be halted by the Court of Appeal in Abuja. The politician who ran on the HDP platform in the 2019 presidential election wants Buhari, the AGF, and INEC to halt any further action on the 2023 presidential election, which Tinubu won.
