A section of Nigerians on the microblogging platform Twitter have slammed the Leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, for his recent prophecy against Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi, TrackNews reports.

The popular cleric, who is known for his controversial comments on political activities, told newsmen on Saturday that Peter Obi is a noise maker who cannot win the presidency in 2023.

“Peter Obi is a noise maker; he can’t make a single difference,” Ayodele says. “The chances of Obi winning the election are nil.”

The prophecy, however, did not go as planned, as a tweep confronted the man of God for attempting to demarket Peter Obi’s candidacy.

While some Twitter users claimed he was paid for the job, others labeled him a con artist, claiming he is one of those sabotaging the country’s progress.

The following are some of the Twitter reactions.

@LamD lantern: Thank you very much, Sir. But we will continue to make noise, and God will recognize the voice of his children; you are not God, and God is not you. Obedience is preferable to Sacrifice.

419 primate, @IfechiEli. People like him are responsible for keeping Nigeria where it is today.

@Ideal 001: Ayodele, the primate, is always running his mouth. People aren’t even interested in his prophecy.

@great ay: I don’t like criticizing God’s men, whether they’re real or not….. But, sir, you do not have a monopoly on hearing in this country. The voice of the people, on the other hand, is the voice of God.

@Joshua Bunde: This man should question Father Mbaka about what is happening in Nigeria with fake prophets concerning Obi.

@ChineduNwota: His prophecy came true the last time he closed his mouth and said nothing. @PeterObi has a chance and will almost certainly win.

@KenAnichebe4: There are fake prophets all over, and this one is talking so that they can give him money. Oga prophet, when they win, you still talk another thing; don’t you know that Nigeria has a record of everything you’ve said in the past? You’re looking for money from them.
