Oborovwori Sheriff, Delta Governor Elect Pledges Supports for Traditional Rulers
The Governor-elect in Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sherrif Oborevwori, has paid a visit of appreciation to the traditional monarchy of Warri Kingdom, Ogiame Atuwatse III, the Olu of Warri, for the role he played during the just concluded 2023 general elections.
Rt. Hon. Oborevwori appreciated the traditional monarchy for the show of love, support and prayers for him during the contest for the governorship seat in Delta State.
Oborevwori was accompanied on the visit by the PDP gubernatorial candidate in Jigawa State, Mustapha Lamido.
According to the Governor-elect, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) respects the traditional institution; hence, the visit to thank the King for the role he played, especially the preaching of peace to the people of Warri during the elections, stating that the elections would not have been so successful, if there was chaos in the kingdom.
Responding, the Olu charged the Governor-elect to ensure the M.O.R.E agenda favoured all Deltans and also prayed God to give him the wisdom to pilot the affairs of the state.
Oborevwori was accompanied on the visit by the PDP Governorship Candidate in Jigawa State, Mustafa Lamido.
