Emegha, who stated that the Party was planning a primary election on the 22nd and 23rd of July, 2022, ahead of the LG election, assured party members that the election would be free, fair, and transparent.

Even if there is a consensus candidate, he believes that all parties involved must go to the field to prove themselves in order to avoid unnecessary litigation and petitions within the Party.

“The APC primary election is a family affair,” he said. It’s an internal issue. We’re getting along. Even if we reach an agreement, we will proceed to the field. Remember that the National will send a delegation to observe the election and possibly write a report.

“We will agree and demonstrate it in the field.” It will be a peaceful election. It will be free, fair, and transparent. You enter if you are accepted by your community and a member of APC.

“LG election forms are still being sold, and we are preparing for the primary election, which will take place on the 22nd and 23rd of this month.” Other parties are also planning theirs.

“If the LG decides to elect an APGA or PDP candidate, the person will go in; the person will be declared.” It will be one of the first times in Ebonyi State election history that something like this has occurred.
