Rivers: Obidients have vowed not to vote Wike candidate because he robbed Obi to favour Tinubu -Source
In a news that was published by the Vanguard paper online this morning, it was reported that the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Rivers State, might be facing easy defeat in this Saturday’s gubernatorial election, because of what the governor of the state, Governor Nyesom Wike, had done to some voters in the state, before and during the presidential election.
Recall that presently, the Peoples Democratic Party members in Rivers, are angry at Governor Nyesom Wike, as they accused him of working with the new president-elect of the country, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to clinch victory in the state, against the PDP’s presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.
However, in another development, it was reported that the supporters of the former Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Mr Peter Obi, are now presently angry at the Governor, as they claimed that he rigged the last presidential election to favour Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the state.
A source, who spoke on condition of anonymity said that, Governor Nyesom Wike’s governorship candidate, was facing a big challenge posed by supporters of Obi, and Atiku.
He said, “Obidients have vowed not to vote Wike candidate because he robbed Obi to favour Tinubu in the last election. They accused the governor of rigging the elections in favour of Tinubu and to them, the governorship election is payback time for what Wike did in the last presidential election.”
With this two developments, Siminalayi Fubara, who happens to be the gubernatorial candidate of the PDP, might not win this Saturday’s election
