Senator Shehu Sani, a former Kaduna Central lawmaker, has slammed President Muhammadu Buhari’s recent statement that he is eager to finish his term and leave office.
President Buhari was quoted on Monday as saying that the presidency has been difficult and that he is eager to leave.

As previously reported by Track News, President Buhari stated that the North-West presented more challenges, but that some success had been recorded in other regions, including the North-East and South-South.

He made his position clear on Monday in Daura, Katsina State, when he hosted some All Progressives Congress (APC) governors, legislators, and political leaders at his residence.

In a statement issued by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, Buhari advised some South-South indigenes to refrain from endangering national assets, which also affect their livelihood.

“I’m excited to go. I can tell you it’s been difficult. “I thank God that people recognize the personal sacrifices we’ve been making,” he added.

In response to the statement, Sani took to Twitter on Tuesday morning, implying that Buhari expected to perform miracles while in office, but now that reality has set in, he is eager to leave.

“Buhari was eager to be president and now eager to leave the presidency; he came in to perform magic and is now fleeing juju,” he wrote.

According to Naija News Buhari’s second term as Nigeria’s democratically elected President will come to an end on May 29, 2023, when he will hand over power.
