UPDATE: Confusion In APC As Dele Alake Reportedly Denies Appointment As President Bola Tinubu’s Spokesperson
TrackNews reports there is currently an array of confusion in the All Progressive Congress (APC) regarding appointments into President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.
News reports had it yesterday that Tinubu appointed Veteran journalist, Dele Alake as his presidential spokesperson and Segun Dada as his aide of digital media.
This was followed by several congratulatory messages, especially to Dele Alake who many described as the best person for the job of spokesperson in the new administration considering the avalanche of communication techniques that will be needed in the administration.
Among the top chieftains and personalities who sent congratulatory messages to Dele Alake was Femi Fani-Kayode, who worked together with the veteran journalist in the communications department during the campaign.
However, Dele Alake has denied getting appointed as the spokesperson to the President in a WhatsApp chat with an online newspaper. He described the story being shared in the media as false.
Further diggings by TGM also revealed that such an appointment has not been made at the moment. To confirm the falsity, FFK has deleted his congratulatory messages to Dele Alake.
