Champions League: Pep Guardiola reacts to Man City’s 2-1 narrow win against Borussia Dortmund
Manchester City boss, Pep Guardiola has reacted to his team’s 2-1 win against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League on Tuesday.
The Spaniard praised his team for their victory against the German side but insisted the tie was far from over ahead of next week’s return leg.
The Premier League leader will travel to Germany for the second leg next week after their league game against Leeds United.
Kelvin de Bruyne fired the home side in front in the first half but Marco Reus equalised for the visitors in the second half but Phil Foden’s late winner restored hope for Guardiola’s side.
Speaking after the match, Guardiola told BT Sport, “Dortmund are strong, a good quality with the players they have and the quality it is difficult to do what we want to do it but 2-1 and we have a good chance next week.
“We are going to watch the game. We will adjust a few things to go there and try to win the game.
“Next Leeds and then we go to Germany to try and win the game. Borussia Dortmund is a typical club from the Champions League.
“We have one more game there and with the result 2-1 we will try to score the goals there to win.
“We are going to analyse what we have to do like we have done for four or five months. Every game we play to win.”
