EPL: Arteta sees misconduct charge dropped by FA
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has seen a misconduct charge dropped by the FA.
Arteta had originally been charged after comments about the officiating after defeat at Newcastle.
But the FA have now announced an independent Regulatory Commission found the charge to be not proven after a hearing.
“It was alleged that his comments constituted misconduct in that they were insulting towards match officials and/or detrimental to the game and/or brought the game into disrepute,” the FA also stated.
The charges came after Arteta had blasted the manner of Newcastle’s winner scored by Anthony Gordon, which needed three VAR checks.
