EPL: It’s something he’ll look at – Ian Wright reacts to Mikel Arteta’s attitude
Arsenal legend, Ian Wright has said that manager Mikel Arteta needs to look at his behaviour during matches.
The Arsenal legend said he does not really want to condemn Arteta because the Spaniard is his manager.
Arteta’s touchline antics have generated a lot of talk from pundits and football fans.
Newcastle legend, Alan Shearer slammed the former midfielder last night after the Arsenal boss lost his cool during their goalless draw in the Premier League.
Arteta could be seen sprinting out of his technical area and confronting the fourth official as Newcastle frustrated his side.
But Wright feels Arteta’s antics are no different to how several current and former Premier League managers behave.
“He’s so plugged into the game, that’s the way he is,” Wright said of Arteta on Premier League Productions.
“You see some managers like that, like Jose Mourinho, Antonio Conte, Pep Guardiola.
“People are talking about it a lot now so I’m sure it’s something he will look at. But he’s my manager so I’m not going to find too much fault in it
