I intend to play until I’m 60 – World’s oldest footballer, Kazuyoshi Miura
World oldest footballer, Kazuyoshi Miura has said that he wants to carry on playing professional football.
Miura, who currently plays for Portuguese Second Division side Oliveirense, intends to play until when he clocks 60.
The 56-year-old attacker told Sport TV: “If I did not get help from the players and the coach, I would not be here.
“I am very grateful to the team and all the people who are around the team. I intend to play until I’m 60.”
Miura, who also played in Brazil with Santos, made his first team debut in 1986.
The Japan forward also played for Genoa, Palmeiras, Vissel Kobe, Dinamo Zagreb, Yokohama, Sydney FC, among others
