Maikaba rues Rangers’ home draw against Lobi Stars
Rangers head coach, Abdul Maikaba cut a disappointed figure after the Flying Antelopes were held to a 1-1 draw by Lobi Stars at the Awka City Stadium on Sunday.
The hosts totally dominated the game but were let down by their poor finishing and some great performance from Lobi Stars goalkeeper, Emmanuel Daniel.
Former Rangers forward, Elijah Ani gave Lobi Stars the lead after the break.
Godwin Obaje restored parity for the Coal City club on 72 minutes.
“We have to blame ourselves for this result. In a game, we created over ten goal-scoring opportunities and scored only one, while the opponent created one and scored from it,” Maikaba said after the game
“It is our problem but we are working seriously to see that we rectify all these issues. We can continue to fight from this result and continue to improve in coming games to ensure that we move up on the log.”
