Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, has claimed he left out Sergio Aguero from his squad to face Leeds United on Saturday, because he had “niggles”.

Guardiola has shuffled his pack for the Premier League clash, making seven changes from the team that beat Borussia Dortmund 2-1 in the Champions League.

Only Ederson, Bernardo Silva, John Stones and Joao Cancelo all keep their places.

In come Nathan Ake, Benjamin Mendy, Feran Torres, Raheem Sterling, Fernandinho, Oleksandr Zinchenko and Gabriel Jesus.

Kevin De Bruyne, Ilkay Gundogan, Riyad Mahrez, Ruben Dias, Kyle Walker, Rodri and Phil Foden start from the bench, but there was no place for Aguero in the squad.

“[Aguero] has niggles. He had problems the last three, four days and couldn’t train,” Guardiola said.
