Frank Lebouef, a Chelsea legend, has advised midfielder N’Golo Kante to listen to his body and consider retiring.

Kante has only made two appearances for Chelsea so far this season.

The France international, who did not compete in the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, has yet to appear for new Chelsea manager Graham Potter.

The 31-year-old is still a long way from making his Chelsea comeback.

In each of the last two seasons, the former Leicester City star has been plagued by knee and groin injuries, and his body appears to be failing him.

However, Lebouef believes that Kante’s decision to end his incredible career prematurely is the best option.

“I haven’t spoken directly to [N’Golo] Kante about his fitness and how he feels, but it’s possible that he’s nearing the end of it [his career],” Lebouef told Safe Betting Sites.

“Because the thing is, we have to understand that we’re talking about a human being. Your body abruptly says, “Enough, leave me alone.”

“The end of your career is also a part of your career, and you have to choose the right time to give up,” he continued. Even if you don’t want to, even if your football is excellent and you want to continue.”
