Shooting Stars shine bright, Lobi Stars falter again
Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan recorded the biggest win on matchday 15 of the Nigeria Premier Football League.
The Oluyole Warriors thrashed Gombe United 3-0 at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, Ibadan.
Malomo Taofeek, Udoh Godwin and Douglas Achiv scored the goals for Gbenga Ogunbote’s side.
For Gombe United, it was an end to their four-game unbeaten streak.
Group B leaders, Lobi Stars lost for the second consecutive game after going down to a 1-0 defeat against Sunshine Stars in Akure.
David Onovo scored the decisive goal in the first half of the keenly contested encounter.
Lobi Stars lost 3-0 to Bayelsa United last weekend.
Nasarawa United and El-Kanemi Warriors move closer to relegation after failing to record a win in their respective games.
Nasarawa United lost 1-0 to Plateau United, while El-Kanemi Warriors fell to a 2-1 defeat at Brendel Insurance.
