Victor Ndoma-Egba, the leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has assured presidential candidate Bola Tinubu of victory in Cross River State.

The former Senate Leader and Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) spoke at a town hall meeting in Calabar on Tuesday.

Tinubu, his running mate, Senator Kashim Shettima, and other party leaders were present.

Cross River people, according to Ndoma-Egba, will vote for Tinubu as they did for the late Moshood Kashimawo Olawale (MKO) Abiola, who won the presidential election in 1993.

He recalled Tinubu and MKO visiting Cross River before the election, and despite the fact that the state was NRC (National Republican Convention), “you were received like a brother and a friend.”

“As a result of your visit, Cross River voted SDP (Social Democratic Party) in the presidential election.

“Today, you’ve come to canvass votes for yourself. If we did it for someone else on your recommendation, we will do it for you again this time.”

The former Chairman of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) thanked Tinubu for using the parley to reconcile party members who were at odds.
