Transfer: Onuachu reveals desire to play in big league
Nigeria forward, Paul Onuachu has reiterated the desire to try himself in one of Europe’s top leagues.
Onuachu has been consistently linked with Premier League, LaLiga and Bundesliga clubs following his consistent scoring form for Belgian Pro League club, KRC Genk.
Genk has, however, been able to keep hold of their talismanic striker.
The former FC Midtjylland of Denmark player has already scored 14 goals in 16 games across all competitions for the Smurfs this season.
Genk is expected to receive bids for the player when the transfer window reopens in a couple of days.
Onuachu admitted he is happy at the Cegeka Arena but has refused to rule out moving elsewhere in the winter window or next summer.
“I score a lot, I like being here. But: if there is an interesting offer this winter or next summer, we will look at it together with Genk. Because I still dream of playing in a big league”, he told HLN.
“Who knows, anything can happen in football. But I’m still very happy at KRC Genk and I don’t necessarily have to leave.
“You should be happy with what you have and not think about what you don’t have. If there is concrete interest in the future, we will talk and then we will see.”
