U-20 AFCON: Flying Eagles settle for Morocco camp
The Flying Eagles will camp in Morocco instead of Spain ahead of the Africa U-20 Cup of Nations in Egypt.
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) settled for Morocco because the country shares the same weather conditions with Egypt
“The team will train in Morocco, which has similar weather with Egypt, which at the moment is very cold and the team need to get used to this in time for the tournament,” a top NFF official informed SCORENigeria.
Ladan Bosso’s side will begin the second phase of their preparation in Abuja today.
The team is expected to depart for Morocco for the last phase of their preparations at the end of this month.
The U-20 AFCON will hold in Egypt from February 19 to February 11.
The Flying Eagles are drawn in Group A with hosts Egypt, Mozambique and Senegal.
The seven time champions will face Senegal in their opening game of the competition on February 19 at the Cairo International Stadium
