Adamawa SDP gubernatorial candidate launches campaign
Ibekimi Oriamaja Reports
Dr. Umar Ardo, the governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Adamawa State, has launched his campaign, promising that if elected, all public funds will be safe.
Ardo, who is viewed as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDPsecond )’s most likely success story in 2023 after incumbent Governor Ahmadu Fintiri, said during his official campaign flagoff at Yola’s Ahmadu Ribadu Square: “Our government will restore honesty, transparency, and accountability in public service and end the stealing of public funds.” We will not steal a single kobo, nor will we allow anyone else to do so.”
This, he claims, will be the culture as his government implements development programs aimed at eradicating hunger, disease, illiteracy, unemployment, and infrastructure deficits.
He emphasized that he would eradicate hunger and poverty so that everyone would have enough to eat.
He urged his supporters to vote in 2023 and to have faith in the electoral process because the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) would use new devices and rules to ensure free and fair elections.
“Be prepared to vote with your PVC because the elections in 2023 will not be like previous ones,” the SDP candidate said.
Ardo told the crowd that his victory began with the flag off rally and that he is confident he will win the governorship election in 2023.
“I am very encouraged by the large turnout. “With this encouraging start, our victory is assured,” he said.
The SDP Presidential candidate, Prince Adewole Adebayo, attended the Adamawa SDP governorship campaign kickoff, saying, among other things, that if elected, he would be radical in improving the nation’s education system.
