Ibekimi Oriamaja Reports
Adebayo Titus, 35, was beaten to death over the weekend in the Oke-Aro area of Ondo State by his colleague, Akintelure Festus, over a minor argument.
The community’s tricycle operators met and agreed that potholes on the roads be filled so that their tricycles could pass through, according to Track News.
However, according to reports, the deceased refused to participate in the exercise on the scheduled day.
An argument between the deceased and the suspects allegedly erupted, escalating into fierce fisticuffs.
According to reports, the deceased was severely injured and collapsed before being rushed to a nearby hospital on Saturday, where he died the following day.
When contacted, Funmi Odunlami, the state police spokesperson, confirmed the tricycle operator’s death.
Odunlami claims that the two got into a fight during which the deceased was hit and collapsed.
“She continued, “people in the vicinity of the fight rushed the man.”
The victim collapsed as a result of the fight on Saturday and was pronounced dead at the hospital early Sunday morning.
The incident was reported to our ‘B’ Division area headquarters in Akure “Odunlami stated that the suspect would be charged shortly in court.
