Ghana sends warning to Portugal with an impressive win over Switzerland in a friendly match.
Ghana’s Black Stars won a morale-boosting international friendly game 2-0 against Switzerland.
The Black Stars won the game at Sheikh Zayed Sports City in Abu Dhabi, UAE, thanks to goals from Mohammed Salisu and Antoine Semenyo.
Salisu opened the scoring in the 70th minute, rising to nod home a corner from a Switzerland player.
Semenyo added the second in the 74th minute, slamming the ball into the back of the net after the ball rebounded off the Swiss keeper during a counterattack.
Ghana has now won back-to-back games after defeating Nicaragua 1-0 in a friendly match in September.
The Black Stars will play Portugal in their World Cup opener on November 24.
Portugal will face Nigeria’s Super Eagles in a friendly later on Thursday in Lisbon.
