Gbajabiamila repeats his call for the repositioning of tertiary education in Nigeria
House of Representatives Speaker, Femi Gbajabiamila, has repeated his call for the repositioning of tertiary education in Nigeria.
The Speaker stated that the current state was worrisome and required drastic measures.
Gbaja spoke in Abuja on Tuesday at the National Summit on Tertiary Education Reform organized by his office.
The Lagos lawmaker said Nigeria’s greatest resource was not oil nor mineral deposits, but the people.
He stressed that to achieve greatness, the government at all levels must invest in the citizens.
Gbajabiamila recalled how many foreigners travelled to the country to study in different universities.
Some Nigeria’s tertiary institutions, he noted, used to be on the same level with the best institutions in the world
