IGP Lauds EFCC Chairman’s Exemplary Efforts in Economic Crime Combat
In a groundbreaking announcement today, Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, publicly commended the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission’s (EFCC) Executive Chairman, Mr. Ola Olukoyede, for his exceptional dedication in the fight against economic crimes.
The accolades came during a courtesy visit to the Force Headquarters, where Egbetokun praised Olukoyede’s sterling performance since assuming office.
Egbetokun expressed his warm welcome, saying, “You are doing well, and Mr. President has a lot of confidence in you.” He emphasized the significance of the EFCC as a “good child of the Police” and assured continued support for the Commission’s critical work.
In response, Olukoyede acknowledged the Police for nurturing the EFCC and highlighted the existing synergy between the two agencies. He called for a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to streamline operations and avoid duplicative investigations, citing the need for better collaboration in their specialized efforts.
