Deji Adeyanju a Political Activist Reacts to Visit of Top APC Governors to Wike
Ibekimi Oriamaja reporting for TrackNews
Deji Adeyanju, a political activist, has reacted to the visit of some All Progressives Congress (APC) Governors to their Rivers State counterpart, Nyesom Wike.
Tracknews previously reported that Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Ekiti State Governor Kayode Fayemi, and other APC leaders paid Governor Wike a visit on Friday.
APC leaders who paid the governor a visit included former Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose and Ondo State Governor Rotimi Akeredolu.
Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike met with APC leaders at his private residence in Port Harcourt.
The purpose of the closed-door meeting is unknown, but it may have something to do with the presidential election in 2023.
In a tweet on Friday, Adeyanju responded to the APC Governors’ meeting with Wike by implying that Nigerian politicians cannot be trusted.
According to a former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) member, politicians’ ruses will be exposed soon.
He exclaimed, “LMAO!” The APC governors have arrived in Port Harcourt to meet with Wike, Fayose, and others. I laugh whenever I start yelling about a Nigerian politician. We can’t say everything on the internet, but you’ll see what we mean soon.”
Wike and his supporters have clashed with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leadership over Delta State Governor Ifeanyi Okowa’s selection as the party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.
Following that decision, Governor Samuel Ortom, Governor Seyi Makinde, Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, Senator Jonah Jang, and others are said to have called on PDP national chairman Senator Iyorchia Ayu to resign.
