TRACKING >> In his humanitarian nature and leadership qualities, the Bayelsa State house of Assembly Speaker Rt. Hon Tonye Emmanuel Isenah with his colleague Hon Tare Pori paid an unscheduled visit to a staff of the Bayelsa State house of Assembly Mr Joseph Hope who has been down with stroke for over a year now with no help and support from anywhere including his office.
Mr Joseph Hope until his sudden illness was a security personnel with the Baylsa state Assembly.
Mr speaker has a brief chat with Mr. Joseph and appreciated him for the services he has rendered to the state particularly the state Assembly. “I knew you years back when I started with the fourth Assembly as an ordinary member. You are a father to all of us and as your children it is right time we return to you and give a helping hand, that why when your caring wife our mother came to me and told me about your illness I immediately ask my brother my colleague Hon. Barr. Tare Pori to join me and visit you”. Mr. Speaker made some cash donation and ask him to call on him any time, any day for every other Assistant.
He further promised to set up a business for the wife and asked her to make a prefer business of her choice which she gladly responded that she will like to go into fish business because that was the business she was doing before her husband went down with stroke and the sickness has consumed her business capital and profit.
In his usual manner Mr. Speaker extended his hand of support to the daughter of Mr Joseph Hope who was present during the visit, he ask asked her what she is doing and she joyfully said “I am into hair dressing and she will be graduating soon, so Mr speaker told her he will purchase two hair dressing machines for her to start her salon.
Same goes to one of sons of Mr Joseph Hope who told the speaker he is a footballer and there and then Mr speaker contacted BAYELSA UNITED MANAGEMENT for the son to come in for trial.
