BREAKING: INEC declares APC candidate winner of Cross River election [FULL RESULT]
The gubernatorial candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Cross River state, Senator Bassey Otu has been declared the winner of the election held on March 18.
TrackNews reports that the Returning Officer (RO), Professor Teddy Charles Adias announced Otu as the winner on Monday afternoon.
Otu who was declared the winner of the election, garnered 258, 619 votes to defeat Senator Sandy Onor of the main opposition, the Peoples Democratic party (PDP) who scored 179,636.
The governor-elect triumphed in 15 Local Government Areas (LGAs) out of the 18 LGAs while Onor won the remaining three LGAs.
The incumbent governor, Ben Ayade sent a congratulatory message to his imminent successor.
