Imo: Chikeka Emerges As New Chief Judge

Justice Theresa Chikeka has emerged as the Chief Judge of Imo State after the House of Assembly approved his appointment, following his screening and confirmation during a sitting.
Our correspondent covers The emergency session was presided over by the Speaker, Mr Kennedy Ibeh (APC-Obowo) in Owerri.
Track News Nigeria learnt that the speaker had read a letter from the Governor of the State, Mr Hope Uzodinma, nominating him for the appointment as substantive chief judge.
While congratulating him on behalf of the chamber, Ibeh felicitated with him, commenting that his credentials speaks for his vitality.
Recall that Track News Nigeria had earlier reported in October 2021 how Chikeka was sworn in as the acting chief judge of the state by the Governor.
