Ibekimi Oriamaja Reports
The Lagos State House of Assembly congratulated the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT) on the occasion of World Teachers’ Day 2022.
Speaker Mudashiru Obasa stated in plenary that teachers, particularly those in Lagos, deserved to be recognized for their efforts and determination to help the state achieve the global education goal of leaving no child behind.
He did note, however, that in order to maintain quality education, the government should ensure that standard requirements for school establishments were met before approvals were granted, particularly in the case of private schools.
