Let us work together to make Oyo a better place, says Makinde to Folarin, Adelabu, and others.
Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has urged those who voted for him in the recent election to work with him to make the state great.
He revealed this on Saturday.
Track news recalls that the governor, who ran again on the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) platform, was declared the winner of the gubernatorial election held last week Saturday on Sunday.
On Saturday, March 18, this year, elections were held in all 33 local government areas of the state.
Makinde received 563,756 votes, defeating all other candidates.
Senator Teslim Folarin of the All Progressives Congress (APC) received 256,685 votes, while Adebayo Adelabu of the Accord received 38,357 votes.
On a radio program monitored by DAILY POST on Saturday, he stated that he needed Folarin, Adelabu, and other constants to join forces with him in order to propel the state to greater heights.
During the election, he described his victory as a victory for the people of the state, adding that he is open to working with the ideas of his co-contestants wherever they are superior to his.
“The electioneering campaign is now over, and we must deal with the issue of governance.”
“This is our state and commonwealth, and we must ensure that we move it forward.”
“I also want to thank the political parties that dismantled their structures in order to support me,” he said.
