Just In: Nnamdi Kanu Denied Bail
Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court in Abuja has denied the bail application of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, (IPOB).
The judge said Nnamdi Kanu must account for his whereabouts for years when he was first given bail but refused to appear in court for trial.
The court disagreed with the defendant’s claim that he fled the nation when an armed retinue raided his ancestral home in Abia State.
TrackNews earlier reported that the Federal government removed one charge out of the seven against the pro-Biafra activist.
This development was made known to newsmen on Wednesday by Nnamdi Kanu’s Special Counsel, Aloy Ejimakor.
Ejimakor said: “The Federal Government just amended the charges against Nnamdi Kanu now, they removed one, you know it was seven, but they removed one, and now it’s six.”
